Academic Qualifications

The entry requirements require all aspiring candidates for certificate courses to have at least a KCSE grade of C minus, and a C for those looking to do diploma courses, both of which consider certain requirements for various combinations of subjects. However, specific courses have varying grade requirements – for instance, courses like Nutrition and Dietetics and Medical Engineering require a minimum of D+ while diploma programs in mortuary science require at least C plain.
Similarly, those looking to upgrade their studies must have relevant certificates in their field of study and at least two years of working experience in their respective fields.

Method 1: KMTC Admissions Portal
- Visit the Official KMTC website at https://kmtc.ac.ke and navigate to the How to Apply section under the Admissions tab.
- Alternatively, you can access the admissions link directly by visiting the URL https://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke/public/index.php/register
- To create an account, provide all the needed details, such as your name, email, and password. Verify your account, and then proceed to log in.
- Once logged in, go to the Left sidebar of your accounts dashboard, look for the Application link >> Apply Preservice, and fill in the required information.
- Proceed to upload all the documents, choose your course, and wait for further communication from KMTC at your email and Phone number once you submit
Method 2: KUCCPS Portal
- Proceed to visit the KUCCPS Students portal at https://students.kuccps.net/ and click on login.
- The login process will require you to enter your KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password, which is your Birth Certificate or KCPE index number.
- If logged in to your KUCCPS account, navigate to the KMTC programs tab at the top navigation bar. Here, you can select the programs that you want to apply for.
- To Apply, select the Program that you meet its requirements and take note of its Codes. You will submit these codes in the provided form in the portal when you click on Apply Now.
- The final stage of your application is paying the Application fee, which is KSh 1,500. Follow the prompts provided by the system to pay for your application.
